edTPA coordinators

The role of edTPA coordinators

The edTPA coordinator manages implementation logistics and will provide support for candidates. The edTPA Coordinator is the central point of contact for receiving information, including assessment materials, handbooks, rubrics, distribution instructions, etc. An edTPA coordinator may be a faculty member, program coordinator, associate dean, or other person who maintains regular communication and works closely with clinical supervisors, cooperating teachers and others who will support candidates in completing the edTPA.

Updating contact information

Educator preparation programs must ensure their edTPA coordinator contact information is up to date. Coordinators receive frequent communication from PESB and the AACTE on policy changes, guidance, administration, updates to materials, trainings and webinars. Please make sure to email both PESB@k12.wa.us and edtpa@aacte.org when a new coordinator is assigned to your institution.

Coordinator meetings

PESB, in collaboration with SCALE and Pearson, convene coordinator meetings to share information related to edTPA policy and material updates. The meetings provide a forum for programs to share their feedback, ask questions, and learn from other programs. Please contact Jisu Ryu (Jisu.Ryu@k12.wa.us ) for more information on edTPA coordinator meetings.
