Language proficiency assessment resources
Candidates earning a Bilingual Education or a Designated World Languages endorsement are required to take the corresponding assessment (WEST-E Bilingual Education (050) or Designated World Languages (100)) and a language proficiency assessment from one of the following language proficiency testing providers:
- LTI (ACTFL)
- Candidates need to take either the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) or Oral Proficiency Interview computer (OPIc) assessment and the Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) assessment.

Candidates need to meet the language proficiency level of Advanced Low, set by PESB, to pass the language proficiency assessment.
