National standards and competencies adoption

National professional standards are now being integrated into each of Washington’s endorsement competencies. This transition maintains the rigor of endorsement competencies. Adoption of each new standard will go through a vetting process with stakeholders and content area experts. Grow Your Own Initiative

The PESB “Grow Your Own” infrastructure pilot grant group defines Grow Your Own (GYO) as programs that are highly collaborative, community-rooted, and provide intensive supports including recruiting, developing, placing, and retaining diverse educators.
