2023-24 school year
The Paraeducator Board relies on EGMS- an online platform used by OSPI and PESB to manage state and federal grants – for data collection and to help determine district reimbursement amounts.
Throughout the school year, districts must submit claims through EGMS to receive funding intended to help offset training costs. Reimbursement funds are provided directly to the district – not paraeducators or training providers. As a reminder, districts are required to pay paraeducators for their training time.
- All training for the 2023-24 school year needs to be submitted by Tuesday, October 1, 2024. If submitted at that time, district reimbursement will occur on the October apportionment.
- As a reminder, please ensure your FP was submitted and received properly. (See Questions for more details)
- If a district chooses to submit by August 16, 2024 it would receive the reimbursement on the September apportionment.
- The type of information you have always been collecting (ie. the number of paraeducators, hours they were trained, etc.) is the same information you will input in the new EGMS system.
