If you are looking for individual certificate information, please visit the OSPI Certification website.
In Washington State, all teachers must be certificated (per RCW 28A.410.025). Certificates are issued through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)’s Certification Office, and any questions about one’s own certificate or certificate applications should be directed to that office.
This page provides information on various pathways into the teaching profession, current approved teacher preparation programs, and required state certification testing.
Paraeducators seeking to advance their career will find relevant information on the Paraeducator Board’s For Current Paraeducators page.
