Educator candidates will soon have the opportunity to use online proctoring to take specific content knowledge and basic skills assessments. Read the announcement.

At the November 2020 meeting, the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) approved a case-by-case exception process for educators who do not pass the content knowledge assessment; a policy that will become effective in late December 2020. Read the announcement.

Longtime educator and current principal Omar Escalera is the newest member to be appointed to the Paraeducator Board. Omar was appointed by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and will join his first board meeting Wednesday, September 23. Read the announcement.
