The Paraeducator Board may create informal advisory groups (subcommittees) as needed to inform and make recommendations on the Board’s work. Members are made up of paraeducators, teachers, administrators, superintendents, union leaders, OSPI staff, and more, and serve on a volunteer bases. Paraeducator pilot work group members are pilot recipients and PESB staff. Their goal is to implement the fundamental course of study and a paraeducator certificate in their respective district or ESD for a minimum of 25 paraeducators. The workgroup will meet several times over the course of the paraeducator pilot.
