The ProTeach Portfolio provides a job-embedded professional development opportunity for in-service teachers. The portfolio demonstrates teacher’ knowledge, skills, and impacts in the classroom. Teachers who pass the ProTeach Portfolio assessment may apply for a Washington state professional certificate. Successful candidates may also receive 150 clock hours per PESB WAC–these clock hours are eligible for salary advancement.
With the enactment of E2SHB 2341 by the Legislature in June of 2016, there will be no opportunities for candidates to submit a full or partial portfolio after the June 28, 2019 submission date. Any candidate not having achieved a passing score after the scoring assessment of June 28, 2019 will be unable to obtain a passing score. All candidates will have until December 31, 2019 to download their score reports. It is important to note that reports will NOT be available any time after December 31, 2019.
