Learn more about Tammie below.

What’s your day job?

Regional Computer Science and Science Coordinator for Northeast Washington Education Service District 101.

How long have you been serving on the PESB?

What drew you to becoming a PESB member?

I am extremely interested in policy and how it connects to classrooms.

What are you most excited about in your work as a PESB member?

Speaking for and representing teachers.

What are your most meaningful takeaways from your time on the Board?

That teachers need to be involved in policy at the state level and understand how policy works and who is responsible for decision making.

How would you encourage the Board’s stakeholders to become involved or more knowledgeable about the Board’s work?

I would encourage stakeholders to read state policy and follow the legislature as it in session. I would also advocate that everyone know who their senators and representatives are and how to contact them. I would encourage stakeholders to get to know who their local board members are and reach out with issue concerning the board.

What’s your favorite dessert?

German Chocolate Cake or Lemon Meringue Pie
