Initial Approval of Preparation Programs

These procedures apply to 3 types of “new” programs.

1. An institution currently approved in one or more certificate area that is applying to offer an additional certificate (e.g. approved program for teacher preparation applying to prepare principals).

2. An existing program redesigned to meet new standards (e.g. ESA residency programs).

3. An institution not currently approved for any preparation program.
